Not Shocking

1. I'm politically insane. I'm a crazy right wing republican who is pro-imperialism. Yes, peace through force is a major part of what I want but it gets me a lot of flak among my age group. I don't mind. You shouldn't either unless I start a campaign to lead the country.

2. I hate to leave things waiting. It bothers me to no end to see something stuck with an open end. I don't have OCD because it's not uniform. Leaving a half complete shop or open tags on LJ makes me scratch my head in disbelief but half cleaning the bathroom, yes. I do it all the time.

3. I love history. American history pings me the most. World War 2 and the Civil War are what I focus on but I also enjoy reading about World War 1. I'm also surprisingly knowledgeable in the Napoleonic Wars which is odd considering my general dislike towards the French.

4. I really want to support others. Call it a problem but I feel as if I need to be the person people turn to when they need help. Maybe I do it to cover up for my own problems or I just want to feel important to others, who knows but I have the unnecessary urge to assist. I've even pulled over and changed people's flat tires before. You get the weirdest looks when you offer that though. I guess people think you're going to murder them or something.

5. I just want to have fun. I do nearly anything I can to make sure whatever I'm doing is fun. When it's not amusing, I tend to get a headache and get pretty frustrated so I do little things to make it worthwhile. Listening to music or tapping out tunes or something, it makes a huge difference in the long run for me. And when I am having fun, I want everyone else to enjoy their time too.


Shocking

1. I can't dance. I can play drums, coordinate my hands and feet in different directions but I can't dance worth beans. I tend to fall apart so I avoid doing it in general.

2. Women scare me. Or more accurately, women who are interested in me. I can hold a conversation with anyone, in person or online, it doesn't matter. The second they express interest in myself, I clam up and want to move on. Even if I'm interested in them, it is still a problem.

3. I hate complaining. If there is a major problem going on, I rarely open my mouth. If someone at work isn't doing his job and I have to pick up his slack, I'll just do it and forget about it. I won't even bring it up later. I don't want to deal with the stress caused by potential bad airs that may happen from bringing it up to someone.

4. Calling people scares me. Even if it's something as simple as scheduling a doctor's appointment, I'm absolutely terrified of picking up the phone and dialing the number. I mean, shit, my job is to answer phones and that doesn't bother me. It's the feeling that I'm intruding on someone else and wasting their time makes me blanch at dialing other people's numbers.

5. Despite all those said above, I'm overly confident. I sincerely won't think I'm doing something wrong until someone points it out to me. The worst part is, I commonly fool myself into thinking something is absolutely right when I know it's wrong. I've dug my own grave in many a arguments because of that fact. Actually, that part of my attitude made people in school think I was some kind of genius because I "knew" everything. In fact, I was just so confident in myself, it became contagious and people were confident in my supposed intelligence. Then when I'd turn over slightly above average grades on my report cards, they'd be shocked. Especially my parents. Dear god I had them fooled so hard and I still have them thinking I'm capable of more.
